Jose Miguel Sanchez is a Venezuelan born organist who earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music education at the University "Cecilio Acosta" in Maracaibo, Venezuela. After graduating with honors, he decided to continue the organ studies he started at the Music Conservatory "Juan Manuel Olivares" in Caracas, Venezuela by attending the National Conservatory of Music of Saint- Maur- des- Fosses in Paris, France. At this prestigious institution he earned an unanimous 1st Prix in Organ performance besides winning the competition "Andres Monsangeon" in the year 2000 for the best Baroque performance. After studying with Eric Lebrun at Saint-Maur, he studied with Marie Louise Langlais at the Regional Superior Conservatory of Paris. There, he studied improvisation and classical organ. During this journey, he won the competition of the UFAM 2001 (Honor Level). Mr. Sanchez has performed concerts in Venezuela, France and the US and he has received awards and recognition both in the US (Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs) and Venezuela (Municipality of San Francisco, Zulia State) for his work as educator and performer. He also earned a Master's Degree in Technology and Education from the University of Barcelona, Spain.
